    Air Duct/Complete HVAC System Cleaning

Poorly maintained HVAC systems harbor mold, fungi, bacteria, pollen, dust mites and other disease-carrying biological pollutants which are re-circulated through forced-air systems. These contaminants can flourish in the duct-work and flow out into the work space. While most HVAC cleaning companies simply clean as far as they can reach into the duct-work, Service-Tech certified technicians use manual entry to effectively reach and clean those hard-to-get-at areas within ducts and HVAC systems. Air handling equipment, including all fresh air intake and return ducts, heating and cooling coils, and fans are thoroughly washed, reset to previous positions, and put back into place. We also clean A/C unit condenser coils with non-damaging low-volume, low-pressure washing system. Additionally, we provide a number of restoration services including antimicrobial coatings, surface coatings for deteriorated fiberglass, coating for rusted metal surfaces, drain pan coating and insulation replacement. Cooling Tower Cleaning and Maintenance

Service-Tech has been servicing cooling tower systems for nearly 60 years. Our technicians are fully trained and experienced in OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) protocols (lock out/tag out, containment, proper use of recommended equipment, respiratory protection, personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures). Cleaning and maintenance processes include, but are not limited to, high-volume pressure washing, brushing, scraping, vacuuming and chemical cleaning. STC capabilities include servicing different components throughout the systems, from the rooftop fan housing down to the sump pit. Project leaders assess how to best service the needs of each system and assemble the right team for the project. OSHA recommends cleaning towers be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected twice a year — before the start of the cooling season and after shutdown in the fall.  Read more

    Combustible Dust Removal

Over time, dust and debris from manufacturing operations collect on overhead pipes, ductwork, light fixtures, structural steel, ceiling plenums, etc. This dust builds up to the point where vibration shakes it loose, possibly contaminating product and production equipment, as well as contributing to poor indoor air quality. Our specifications (which include the filter plenum, and the interior of duct-work to and including the exhaust fan located on the roof) are as follows: 1) Remove filters, scrape and wash plenum walls, filter frames and fire suppression equipment (not including the fusible links and trigger mechanisms) 2) Scrape and/or brush the interior surfaces of all accessible horizontal and vertical duct-work 3) Wash all fan blades, interior and exterior of fan housing and drip pans (hot, high-pressure wash when possible) 4) Clean all louvers and dampers 5) Replace filters to their original position.  Read more

    Aeroseal Air Duct Leakage Repair

Being a licensed provider of AEROSEAL DUCT DIAGNOSTICS and SEALING TECHNOLOGY allows Service-Tech to repair leaks extremely effectively and efficiently. A computer-controlled, patented process, Aeroseal detects and seals leaks up to 5/8 of an inch. The process pressurizes the duct system by temporarily blocking inlet and outlet points and injecting a vinyl polymer in vapor form that stays suspended in the air until it detects a leak. The sealant particles are gradually deposited in the leaks by the exiting air-stream as it bends and accelerates through the leaks. As the process continues, the particles begin to accumulate in the leaking cracks and holes until they are eventually sealed. Features of this process are:
    1) uses a safe vinyl polymer
    2) does not disperse lingering odors or off-gassing
    3) does not coat duct-work or require cleaning before sealing (unless more than 1/8th inch of debris)
    4) lasts more than 10 years.

    Residential Air Duct Cleaning

We’ve been improving indoor air for nearly 60 years, using superior methods. While most cleaning companies simply vacuum far as they can reach or use only air pressure, we use contact vacuuming and mechanical brush systems to remove dirt from the entire system. Our certified technicians are fully trained and equipped with the necessary tools, techniques, and cleaning substances. We follow NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) specifications. The following work is included at no additional charge:
    1) All supply and return duct-work (hot and cold air) cleaned and inspected
    2) Air handling equipment (the furnace) washed to purge dirt and contaminants (includes heating and cooling coils, fan blades and housing, filter section, dampers, and plenum walls)
    3) Air diffusers, grilles and registers are thoroughly washed/put back into place
    4) Ceiling and walls surrounding diffusers, registers and grilles vacuum cleaned. Read more

    Fire Damper Inspection

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines require periodic inspections of the fire, smoke and ceiling dampers. In accordance with the current NFPA Standard 90A, Service-Tech provides the following maintenance:
    1) fusible links (where applicable) are removed
    2) all dampers are operated to verify that they close fully
    3) latch, if provided, is checked
    4) moving parts are lubricated as necessary

Service-Tech has established a program to execute this compulsory Damper Inspection and replace the fusible links. We have the capabilities and equipment to execute the required standard. Furthermore, we will provide the necessary written documentation for your records. Read more
